Steps to recover my site

As I am typing this, Google has annouced yet another update.

I'm hoping to a partial rollback off the mess that came after the September update.

My site as took around 45% hit that was excaberated by the prior August update skyrocketing my site.

I've been following many of the established professionals in our space and decided to take steps to respond to the HCU.

Many of the experts share their findings and thoughts but honestly nobody truly knows the true methodolgy behind the updates.

** Note ** These are steps that I am taking for those who are intersted.

Maybe this update was a wake up call for Niche Site owners, have we had it too easy for too long?

The steps that I am taking are logical for treating my niche as a brand/business and to be honest, I should have been doing this from the very beginning.

Branding I decided to redesign in a way that it looks like a professional business rather than another niche site. ​ This will hopefully build trust with my visitors and Google.

Author Profiles Once again, let's build some trust and accountability. ​ I've added author profiles and links to my writers social media accounts.

Social Media I'm building out my social media profiles to help divesify my traffic streams and be less reliant on Google traffic.

Foundational Link Building I've built my site with no link building efforts at all. It's time to building foundational links and trust signals.

There are around 20 more additional improvements that I am making.

Ultimately, I personally feel that all of steps make the site stronger

I will share the full list soon and hopefully a case study if I can recover.
